What about Ella?" I half-heartedly asked. "She'll be back soon." "...and we won't be here," he moaned. "Where will we be?" I asked, suddenly worried about being caught in a precarious situation. I found myself cheering with those I loved and wishing the worst on those who were out to do harm. The descriptions of the settings and characters in this book were such that I felt like I was there experiencing everything with them. Standing over Mason's shoulder in Ella's Pantry. Sitting in the corner of the hospital room with Reed. This book sent me on an emotional roller coaster where I found myself laughing, crying, and wanting to scream every step of the way. I can't wait too see what's in store on my next ride with Ms. Stephens and the amazing worlds she has created.

This was an amazing story. There are tons of stories about a strong character that fights to right a wrong and overcome whatever vile act was done to them. There are few great stories about that character dying and her ghost seeking justice....or is it her ghost?! I'll just stop there! What an incredible ride of emotions! I read this book start to finish in one day. This is this first book in months to hold my attention for so long without needing to take a break. This was my first read of a M.L. Stephens book. Though, I hadn't understood it was paranormal, it felt weird reading it. But as you get sucked into this book, you're drug through an amazing, heart wrenching tale of love, loss and so much more. The end is the biggest jaw dropper ever. I have to say, I'm in love with this series!

It’s a novel that just stays with you for a long while after reading it. Beautifully written, the novel stirred up so many emotions, it took me a couple of days to work through them all and write this review. I cried tears of sadness from the heart-wrenching tragic event that started things off to tears of joy at bearing witness to the heroine’s dramatic journey of self-discovery. Don’t get me wrong though, it’s not all heartbreak and sentimentality. There’s lots of suspense and incredibly thrilling elements in this novel. A murder must be solved, and like the Author Summary says (so this is not a spoiler) the heroine is the one murdered and it’s up to her to solve it. This first in the Broken series, Love You More is truly a delightful read. I was wrong about so many things while reading this novel. Well, to be truthful, I was wrong about pretty much everything. LOL! From the plot and where the story was going to what kind of person the heroine was…everything. The unpredictable twists and turns in this story were mind-blowing. I didn’t see the things coming that did and I loved how exciting and thrilling it was for me to be surprised. Well done M.L!! I found it a little difficult to relate to the heroine at first. She was a typical princess type…self-centered and untouchable. But then the unthinkable happens and the princess was in fact touched by the ugliness of the real world. It’s amazing how a crisis can change a person. Well actually, that’s not exactly right. Her goodness was there but it was just hidden under a thick layer of oblivion. Her journey was a hard one and I am SO glad I stuck with her. I came to really appreciate her for the person she was. And after she grew on me, I found her to be quite funny. Especially when she tried to outwit the very clever Ella. Wasn’t going to happen but it sure was funny to witness her trying. And speaking of Ella, she was a fabulous character that everyone will love and appreciate. In fact, all the supporting characters were compelling and interesting. The world the author has built has the makings of a wonderful series and I’m hoping a long-running one. Fast-paced, this is a ‘read-in-one-sitting’ kinda book. Not that it’s too short; it’s just that compelling. It’s more than likely that once you start, you’ll be missing out on some sleep. Totally worth it though! I highly recommend this one to everyone. ________________________________________ My Favorite Quotes… “We were feeding the ducks and discussing the various methods associated with crumb tossing, when you pulled me into your arms and told me you loved me.” “You cried, and I’d thought I’d done something wrong. I held you until the tears stopped…and then you said…” “I love you more.” “There are special moments in our lives that touch us so deeply, it sucks the oxygen from the room and our heart skips a fraction of a beat. I realized that this was that moment for Ella…it was that moment for me.” “Yeah, yeah, you’ve said that. I get it! You can’t see your daughter, you can’t see Mason, and yet you see me. Your self-proclaimed psychic ability sucks. What’d I do? Spin the ‘Wheel of Misfortune’ and land on your name?” Happy Reading my lovelies! 4.5 Stars!

I fricken loved this book. I can't even put into words just how much. There were twists and turns at every corner, some I knew, but lured into a false sense of 'I knew that was going to happen', then BAM! I was so focused on what I knew that I didn't even notice that there was more shock & awe building. I went through so many emotions between the start and finish. Horror, sadness, shock, laughter, more sadness (have tissues!), more laughter, more shock and more tears. Seriously, this book was the bomb diggity!!! 'Chloe turned to be and grinned. "Thank you." I think Ella is going down of one of my fave characters evah. And Mason? Oh baby! "Are the three if you going to stand there like a bunch of one legged birds waiting for high tide? If not, we're wasting daylight and there's work to be done." Do yourself a favor and go buy this book, it was so cheap and has quickly become one of my favorites. There as a small amount of steam, mystery, drama, ghosts, and a whole lot of self discovery. An absolute GEM! 'The universe had given us choices. Our decisions had determined our paths. Our souls were bound by understanding, self-forgiveness, loss; and the knowledge of a secret realm that had helped us find the truths we'd needed in order to survive.' I can honestly tell you that receiving this copy for review in no way affected my rave review. Mason, Jade, Claire, Ella & Chad did that all on their own. Bravo Ms Stephens. I'm ready for more...

I was almost halfway through reading Love You More when I realised Claire had already reviewed it, but I was enjoying it so much I needed to add a review too! When the author sent me the book, she warned me that the first chapter was heart wrenching. I realise that makes it sound a little scary, but it isn’t at all, and I don’t want to put people off with that, but if anything I would just advise you have a tissue at the ready! After Jade is murdered and her best friend lays in a coma, and especially after the opening of the book, you will Jade on so hard to be able to help her loved ones find her murderers so that her spirit can move on and rest. With the quirky Ella being the only one that can see her and help her, it is a real page turner to see if they can succeed. I usually pride myself on being able to ‘suss’ out a storyline plot or twist, either in book or film form, and I tend to take a little secret pleasure in finding out that I am right. With Love You More, there was more than twist that made the story even better that I hold my hands up to and can admit I did not see coming! I couldn’t give this book a 5 star review, as much as I enjoyed it. There are two reasons for this, the first being that when Jade meets Ella, I instantly got a picture of Whoopi Goldberg In Ghost, and after that I struggled to shake that out of my head as much as I tried! Secondly, the ending of the book felt so rushed, there was a blossoming relationship that developed pretty quickly, and I felt it needed more. I know there is another book to come in this series, so I am hoping it will be stretched out a bit more in the next one.

This was a read that left me with that WOW feeling that comes along every now and then. The story is well-written, well thought out and the characters are well developed. I have to say that the twist and turns in this kept me on my toes and I did not figure out what was going on until it was revealed. I am a sucker when it comes to anything ghostly and psychic...I honestly have had my own "experiences" and can totally relate. I had goosebumps throughout the book, shivered unexpectedly, and cried over my own special memories of things that others would've thought were crazy. Usually I complain when I read "short" stories, about them not being long enough, about things that could've been added, key pieces missing because the author didn't spend enough time or detail on certain things. So it was a wonderful surprise to have read a "short" story that was utterly PERFECT, not missing a thing...I would like to give M.L. a HUGE shout-out, for once again opening my eyes, and reminding me not to question myself when these moments pop up unexpectedly. I will go to sleep, with a smile on my face, and love in my heart, for all those who have passed that are still with me today. Thank you, ML. I cannot wait to read the next book in this wonderful series that I will always treasure dearly.

This book had me laughing, crying, cheering, cursing, swooning in some bits, and over all at the edge of my seat because I wanted to know what happened next. ML did a great job writing this book. I loved the snark from Ella and Jade/Claire because it helped me move past the pain and sorrow that I was feeling while reading other parts. There wasn't one supporting character that I didn't like. I loved them all. I loved the bond between Jade and Claire, the vengeance and the need to right the wrongs in Reed, the understanding in Darius. This list could go on and on but I'll spare you and make you read about everyone yourself. Most importantly I just plain loved Mason and Chad. How am I to choose between them? I want Mason to be Chad and vice versa but at the same time I want them to be individually themselves. Yeah I'm a hot mess after reading this book. Who's the hero that I'm supposed to love? The ONLY thing i didn't like about this book was the cliffhanger but other than that I absolutely LOVED it. Thankfully I don't have to wait for the release of the 2nd book so I'm definitely going to dive into that right away. I have to see where Mason has gone, what's happening to Ella and how Chad is connected to Claire other than sharing the same gift. I just want to wave a warning flag to those of you that choose to read this book that it is a giant loopy roller coaster on your emotions. There were very gruesome things that happened in this book that, unfortunately, take place in the real world all the time. so if you aren't one to stomach reading about rape or murder than I don't suggest reading this. I laughed and cried..... So much crying and then laughed some more. I felt the pain, sorrow, hope, frustration, love.... Everything. I literally felt every emotion I've ever experienced in my life while reading this book.

Even those who don't really consider themselves as "paranormal" readers, this book is such a good read you will find yourself even forgetting it is part of the paranormal genre. Thank you so very much, M. L. Stephens for sending me this book and giving me the pleasure and opportunity to read this fine writing! I truly look forward to reading and reviewing the second book as well! 5/5 Crescents ~Layna

Wow, what a book! I could not put this book down. Had a road trip to Miami, and basically spent the entire ride down reading the book! This is actually my first paranormal book that I have read that deals with ghost. Not at all what I expected this book to be and I’m glad because I absolutely devoured it. I literally held my hand to my heart while I was reading each page. The first chapter just reels you in and makes you hold your breath, and although I didn't cry my heart was hurting. It was just brutal and I just had to remember to breathe at the end of it. I went through a pillar of emotions through the whole book. I can relate to losing someone you love with all your heart whether that person is a family member or your best friend and how hard it is to push through and continue to go on because you know that is exactly what they would want you to do. I can’t wait to continue the series and find out what lies next for the characters. Favorite quote: "The universe had given us choices. Our decisions had determined our paths. Now here we were. Our lives had collided in a profound display of faith, hope, and determination. Our souls were bound by understanding, self-forgiveness, loss; and the knowledge of a secret realm that had helped us find the truths we'd needed in order to survive."

"Love You More" is book one in the "Broken" series. When you finish "Love You More" and find yourself hanging in the balance of a cliffhanger, my advice.... just dive off into "Innocence Lost" book two. <- hey, you don't even have to wait, lol! I would like to compare M.L Stephens writing style in this story to someone handing you a small candle, in a large dark room, and walking away and closing the door to that room. While you read this story and look around the room with your small candle light more and more is revealed, the characters and story plot unfolds and transforms in front of the readers eyes, page by page, chapter by chapter. I wish I could, but I can't give a recap or brush on the characters as a topic, I'm afraid I would give away the surprising treasure that this story holds. So, Go, commence forward, read this, and find the jewels that are in this tale, this book is a horse of a different color................

My favorite quote from the book! "My life had been a fairytale, my death had been a nightmare, and my ghostly existence was tinkering on the edges of insanity!" Now I want to be clear there is only some romance in this book. Yet, it's so sweet it might make you a little teary eyed! Everything I type I erase because it gives something big away. Hmm... It's dark, suspenseful, exciting, puzzling, funny, sweet, insightful, romantic and so much more! The whole time, once I realized something wasn't what it seemed, I thought I knew what it was. Turns out I was barely on the right path of thinking and only knew a small part of it! It had lots of great twists and turns I didn't even think about. At the beginning I wanted to scream and yell at the young women for letting themselves get into the situation they were in. At the end I was sighing and had a tear of happiness escape my eye. I'm not a crier and I have a friend who'd bawl her eyes out if she read this. So now I've warned her and all of you. I loved every little part of this book. Well okay, I hated the beginning but not because of what it was or how it was written. It was because of the situation the women were in and what lead to their deaths. She wrote what she needed and did not push it to a point it became so much you couldn't continue to read it. And it was completely essential to this touching story. I really must read the rest of this series!

I loved Jade and her quirky humor, I'm sure Ella didn't appreciate but that's okay I did, "Lucky for you, you're dead. Now you can meet all the 'crazies' and not be weirded out." I've only read one other book about the afterlife, well maybe two but I don't really count the book I read when I was thirteen and trying to understand death, and it's interesting to see the different aspects and what different authors think about the afterlife. Actually I've read three books about the afterlife (sorry I loved Jade and her quirky humor, I'm sure Ella didn't appreciate but that's okay I did, "Lucky for you, you're dead. Actually I've read three books about the afterlife (sorry I read so many books it's hard to keep track of what's what.) It's really difficult for me to read about the afterlife as I'm still not sure what my beliefs are exactly (this book totally isn't religious in any shape of form) but it's just the thought of death you know... Anyway let's stay on track and move forward with the review, I loved Mason and the fact that he can totally get Jade all flustered it's cute. "Unless you care to tell me exactly how you know me ...(more to the quote don't want to give a spoiler)...then I'd appreciate it if you'd stop referring to some fantastical past you seem to think we shared." Talk about emotional though, I'm not sure if I liked the ending I think it ended a little to soon leaving a couple unanswered questions that I hope there'll be another book that would I don't maybe answer them.

Jade finally finds out the truth about herself and they all club together to find the killer's.I don't want to give anymore away as i don't want to spoil it for you all. I didn't expect it to end the way it did i just thought this was a one off book and believe me you are left wanting more so i'm glad there is a second book.I do highly recommend this book.

I was captivated from the beginning, kept interested throughout and as I mentioned, I was surprised by certain turn of events and shocked when it came to the end. The writing was well done, everything flowed well and it was an enjoyable read. I can definitely see myself reading more from this author! This is a fantastic, easy read and I’m glad to have it on my shelf! This book receives 5 out of 5 stars!

All the characters were larger than life, even the baddies. The plot is full of interesting, unexpected twists that will keep readers guessing. I've grown adapt at reading between the lines and predicting what will happen next, so I love to be surprised. Such an incredible story of survival, redemption and just plain trying to cope and move on. I'am going to be honest I am not a huge fan of ghost stories, due to the fact that usually that ghost can not come back to life and they must move on and it makes me sad, especially for Claire's situation. But I still loved this story, great story!!!!!!!

“Love You More” was absolutely amazing and I loved it. I have read a lot of paranormal books but I have to say I have never read a book quite like this. From the beginning the book was interesting to me. It started out as a normal fiction book, which made me quite curious to see what would happen that would make it a paranormal story. I assumed something was going on, and was waiting for the story to confirm it. I was wrong - very wrong - about what I assumed. I like that in a story, being unable to see something coming. It very rarely happens for me. My one big issue was that the story seemed rushed in certain parts, especially the ending. There were also a few very obvious typos that took me out of the story for a moment. All and all, because I enjoyed the story so much and I am looking forward to reading the next book to figure out what happens.

Jade has been murdered and she is out to bring her killers to justice all the while discovering the truth of what really happened the night her world was turned upside down. However, the afterlife doesn't seem all that bad, she has found friends, some alive and some not so alive, some she has known but can't seem to remember.

This is a paranormal fantasy thriller romance, basically about a ghost teaming up with another ghost and a medium to help the police catch her murderers. There are lots of twists in the plot and cases of mistaken identity that I won’t reveal, and a particularly brutish pair of killers to catch. Though in places the plot was a bit wobbly (the police seemed to be doing just fine on their own) and I wasn't sure about the ending with its different types of ghost and different categories of deadness, This is a paranormal fantasy thriller romance, basically about a ghost teaming up with another ghost and a medium to help the police catch her murderers.
